Best of Our State, New Bern at the Riverfront Hilton
October 8, 9, and 10, 2010
You are invited to an all-new Best of Our State in New Bern – a charming historic town in eastern NC situated at the confluence of the Neuse and Trent Rivers. To celebrate New Bern’s 300th anniversary, Saturday afternoon we’ll visit Tryon Palace (site of the 1st permanent capitol of the Colony of North Carolina and a home to the Royal Governor) for colonial games, hearth cooking demonstrations and a special dramatic presentation at the John Wright Stanly House. Included in the schedule is a sneak preview of the North Carolina History Center at Tryon Palace.
